- Hints of the narrative which can foreshadow and cleverly give hints of what might happen in the movie
The opening of a movie is very important because it is the first thing views will watch and hence they will know from this if they will enjoy this movie or not. The directors want the audience to like their movie because it would increase profit and gain more audiences for future movies they make. It can also give the audience a bit of background information on the film which can minimize confusion and can also would to be a cheaper and quicker prologue.
