Sound Design
at the beginning of our title sequence, we will have
mostly diegetic sound (door creak, harsh breathing and loud footsteps) and then
we will had a heartbeat that will eventually get louder. Once it gets louder it
will go along with a soundtrack we will design (non-diegetic) that will go
along the rest of the title sequence until the end . For this we decided it was
going to be a tense and eerie sound that will go along with the style and genre
of opening we have chosen. We also decided that we were going to add motifs to
the titles to create a more realistic horror scheme (it is also a cliche in most
horrors) .Towards the end there is a scene where the main character falls over,
at this point the sound will go completely silent which will build up tension
and will make the film more scary.
The title credits that have inspired us are Se7en,
Dawn of the dead (motifs) and American Horror Story.
