Film opening scene analysis

The Interview:

From the title sequence to the movie the interview  the soundtrack creates a fast past serious tone (ironic considering that this is a comedy) which goes on top of a series if humorous and context based animations.

 

 It also has credits including director, producer, actors etc. The narrative isn’t given away but is hinted through animations and imagery.

Genre isn’t specific through music and atmosphere but animations show that it’s a comedy and set the tone for what’s to come within the movie

 

Evil Dead (2013):

From the title sequence to the movie Evil Dead (2013) I saw that the soundtrack is very fast and sinister creating a scary tone which goes over dark red and black colours used throughout the opening scene along with graphic horror images, Lots of blood is included.

 Close ups of object that give away scenes throughout the movie (all weapons) instead of characters. It also has credits including director, producer, actors etc.

Genre is clearly shown (horror) and clearly shows what is to be expected throughout the movie
