Target audience research
A target audience is a particular group of people which a specific product is aimed at. These people tend to have similar interests and likings. Having target audiences when producing a film is very useful as it gives you clear motive for where you when the movie to go. Having a target audience allows you achieve the highest profit possible as you are working with what people know and like. Target audiences help with decision making as your able to look back at what people like so you know what to include and what not to.
I conducted my own survey and here are the responses I received:

The results I received suggest comedy and horror are the most popular. The people who said they enjoy horror were between the 16-17 age mark but people around the same age said they preferred comedy.
